tax-returns/phoenix
Detailed Phoenix (הפניקס) balance history and product map for tax-returns / tax-returns/status. Built 2026-10-04 by opening every PDF in tax-returns/<year>/Phoenix/ and reading account numbers + closing balances directly (pdftotext -layout via nix shell nixpkgs#poppler-utils; Hebrew RTL text but numbers/labels greppable).
Six distinct Phoenix products found (not three)
- Pension "מקיפה", account 3766380012, fund #209. Active throughout.
- Pension "משלימה"/"כללית", account 7189612018, started 01/02/2024. Active.
- Life insurance, account 3766373017. Turns out to be a real savings-component policy (תגמולים+פיצויים), NOT pure risk as first assumed from 2018's all-zero figures (that was just a deposit backlog, see below). Went "מסולקת" (paid-up) in 2024 when user's status changed to עצמאי, then "מבוטלת" (cancelled) in 2025.
- NEW — study fund "אקסלנס/הפניקס השתלמות" account 007-229-296086-000, joined 12/12/2018, employer גיטה טכנולוגיות. Not in the original known-products list.
- NEW — study fund "הפניקס השתלמות" account 007-907-538010-000, joined 03/02/2022 as "שכיר ללא מעסיק", money vintage 30/11/2018 (received via transfer-in, not fresh deposits).
- Health insurance (ביטוח בריאות), main policy 6433001010 (פרט, מחלות קשות) plus two cancelled group policies 1072734088/6577366013. Pure risk, no cash value/balance — appears under the generic filename "דוח לשנת 20XX.pdf" for 2016-2018 (that filename is NOT the pension, a trap for the usual generic-filename gotcha). Not tracked further.

Major cross-institution resolutions (2026-10-04)
- Mor mystery RESOLVED. Phoenix life insurance 3766373017's 2025 "כספים שהעברת מהפוליסה" (-101,603.71: components -32,186.97/-26,636.30/-42,780.44) is an EXACT match to Mor account 1291666's 2025 incoming "כספים שהועברו לחשבון" (101,603.71 = same three components). Phoenix policy's "תום תקופת הביטוח" = 07/08/2025, close to user's Mor join date 28/07/2025. Source of the previously-UNRESOLVED Mor pre-2025 money is Phoenix life insurance 3766373017, not an unknown institution. Update tax-returns/status's Mor/unresolved entries.
- Migdal 44474197 source CONFIRMED as Phoenix study fund account 007-229-296086-000 (transferred out -65,997.71 in 2023; close to 44474197's reported value after ~2 years growth). Previously only "presumed ex-Phoenix, not verified."
- Migdal 44474194 full chain found: Altshuler Shaham study-fund account 000772309 (vintage 01/11/2018, data only in their 2020 report) → transferred into this NEW Phoenix study-fund account 007-907-538010-000 (opened 03/02/2022, vintage recorded as 30/11/2018, transfer-in ~5,716.53) → transferred out -5,399.22 in 2023 → Migdal 44474194. The prior status note treated this as a direct Altshuler→Migdal transfer; it actually passed through Phoenix first.
Gotchas confirmed/reinforced here
- The generic filename "דוח לשנת 20XX.pdf" (2016-2018) is Phoenix HEALTH insurance, not pension — classic same-filename-different-product trap.
- "דוח שנתי מלא 20XX.pdf" (2019-2021) and "דוח מפורט לשנת 20XX.pdf" (2019-2023, unsuffixed) are STUDY FUND and PENSION reports respectively — only clear from opening the content, filenames don't disambiguate which product file is which across years (2024-2025 switch to explicit "- ביטוח חיים"/"- קרן פנסיה" suffixes).
- A policy/fund can show ₪0.00 for reasons other than closing: 2018 life insurance showed 0.00 simply because employer deposits were backlogged and only posted in Jan 2019 — not a cancellation.
